Avion Multi-Factor Authentication Flows
Core concepts
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Normally, you sign in using just your password. With 2FA enabled, you also need a second form of verification to confirm it’s really you.
This helps protect your account even if someone else learns your password.
For example, after entering your password, you may also need to:
Enter a code sent to your phone or email,
Approve a sign-in in an authenticator app,
Or use a passkey such as fingerprint or face recognition.
Benefits of Two-Factor Authentication
Using 2FA helps:
Protect your account from unauthorized access,
Reduce the risk of stolen passwords being used,
Improve account security when signing in from new devices or locations,
Provide peace of mind that only you can access your account.
Even strong passwords can sometimes be compromised. Two-factor authentication adds an important extra security step.
